The Plug In Conference 2009 Conference in Long Beach kicked off Monday afternoon with more than 500 participants from various states and countries, along with exhibits of technology, charging stations, demo vehicles and other organizations such as utilities, EPRI, and Plug In America.  Although we shared lessons that can be learned from the work that many of us did in the mid-late 1990s to launch electric vehicles, there is much to still learn.  Mainly, I came away with a sense of urgency and the importance of engaging all stakeholders in a systematic way with a sense of urgency -- so we can do it right this time!
