Local Government Advocacy

Local Government photoGreen Fuse provides green building education and policy advocacy services to government agencies in the Monterey Bay Region.

Some of these services are on behalf of the U.S. Green Building Council in conjunction with AMBAG (Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments) and provided pro bono.  LEED training and education programs also are  developed and tailored to the government employees involved.



Green Building Policy Development Examples:

  • City of Salinas – Sustainability presentation
  • Soquel Creek Water District – Co-developed new water conservation incentive  program
  • County of Santa Cruz - Participate in County Commission on the Environment meetings with County and Cities Planning Directors and Building Officials to develop consistent County-wide green building policy.

  • City of Monterey – LEED training for city employees
  • Various presentations to local planning commissions, city councils and boards of supervisors. e.g., San Benito County, City of Marina
